​Özel Öğretim Kurumları Genel Müdürlüğü -ÖÖKGM (Directorate General of Private Education Institutions (DGPEI) is one of the main body of Ministry of National Education in Turkiye. The Directorate General is responsible for the conduct of all kinds of regulations, audits, and training activities, for every levels of the formal and non-formal private educations institutions which have been run by non-governmental bodies or real persons. DGPEI has been working on developing and conducting regulations and education programs, curricula for the education institutions as well. It is a subsidiary of the Ministry of National Education. The Directorate General is also authorized to accreditation, inspection and issuing the regualartion for those education institutions.

Private Institutions/courses providing language training are also subject to DGPEI. Education activities of all kind of private schools and educational institutions at different levels in terms of the planning, coordination and management in Turkiye are under responsibility of DGPEI. As it is mentioned above, DGPEI works in more than one field of education and training. For example, private dormitories in Turkiye is also affiliated to DGPEI.  Education activities of all kind of private schools and private educational institutions at different levels in terms of the planning, coordination and management in Turkiye are under responsibility of DGPEI.
